Sustainability

Since its inception, Maison Atia has been environmentally responsible and engaged, aiming to be zero-waste, and we are proud to be 100% sustainable since 2021.

Before the launch, our co-founders personally visited and vetted our European partner suppliers, and identified local NYC craftsmen who shared their commitment to social responsibility.

From Day One, the company has used all fabric leftover from coat production to create chic accessories; and for what can’t be used in a creation, the company works with FabScrap to recycle leftovers. In Fall 2019, Maison Atia launched its first fully sustainable capsule collection for babies and toddlers using Koba fabric, which is 100% made from plants and recycled water bottles. At New York Fashion Week 2020, the brand introduced MA by Maison Atia, a vibrant and colorful capsule line of vests, jackets and coats, incorporating the same Koba fabric.

Since the summer of 2020, the brand has been awarded every year Positive Luxury’s coveted ‘Butterfly Mark’ joining the ranks of venerated brands such as Christian Dior, Givenchy, and Louis Vuitton. This insignia is used across the luxury market and is awarded to luxury lifestyle brands that meet the highest standards of verified innovation and environmental performance.

In 2020, with the launch of the MA by Maison Atia collection, over 60% of the upcoming AW20 collection was fully sustainable. As of 2021, we have reached our goal of becoming a 100% sustainable brand, using exclusively sustainable materials or upcycled fabrics.
